Carlo Nason stands as one of the most influential figures in Murano glass design, known for blending modern lines with traditional craftsmanship. Born into a family of glassmakers, he carried forward the legacy while reimagining glass art for contemporary spaces. His works reflect a distinct understanding of form and light, making his designs timeless and highly sought after.

Design

These LP 254 wall appliques for Mazzega exemplify Nason’s signature style. Crafted from thick, textured glass, these appliques consist of overlapping curved elements arranged around a central axis. When unlit, the clear glass showcases its natural imperfections and subtle ripples, embodying the artisanal touch of Murano glassblowing. When illuminated, light filters through the layered structure, projecting dynamic patterns and a warm glow across the surrounding space. The combination of glass and chrome fixtures anchors the piece in the mid-century modern aesthetic while maintaining a refined simplicity.

Nason’s LP 254 wall appliques are more than lighting fixtures; they are sculptures that transform with light. Installed in pairs or clusters, they elevate interiors with understated elegance. Their presence on the wall shifts from day to night, creating a subtle yet striking interplay of texture and illumination.

The lamp fixture is an E27 and the bulb type is a reflector.

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
