As a descendant of a family that has been specialized in making Murano glass for generations, it was Carlo Nason who changed his course in relation to his relatives. While father Vincenzo was mainly concerned with traditional and beautifully decorated glass works, Carlo joined the modernist movement and started experimenting. In addition to designs for manufacturers Vistosi, Murano Due, and Firme di Vetro, among others, he has had a longstanding collaboration with Mazzega.
Design
This dazzling table lamp consists of a triangular base with a height of three centimeters. Heavily patinated brass edges on which the glass leaves rest protrude just a little further. Three brass rods protrude from this base where the glass is fixed by means of a screw. This minimalist base combines beautifully with the organically shaped Murano glass. A certain looseness or sandiness if you will can be spotted in the structure of the glass and consists of a lower part that consists of a subtle green tint that changes into transparent from the middle upwards. The light source is located in the middle at approximately the border of the color transition. After switching on the lamp, elegance takes over its surrounding. A reflection consisting of a mix of green and yellow tones shines directly on the surface and makes this small lamp so exceptional.
Condition
This object is in very good condition with only minimal traces of use.
Excellent responsiveness, and with wonderful curatorial chops!
Quality, flexibility, very good communication, very happy with the coffee table I bought.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
