Giuseppe Rivadossi’s work challenges the boundary between woodworking and sculpture. His deep engagement with materials, time, and human presence has produced some of the most poetic pieces in Italian design. This set of six Regina dining chairs reflects that philosophy through structure, technique, and spirit.
Design
Crafted from slavonian oak, each chair displays Rivadossi’s signature gouging and artisanal joinery. The box joints on the legs and backrest are not hidden—they become part of the design, almost ornamental. Light plays across the surfaces, accentuating the rhythm of chisel marks and the careful shaping of each element. The seats are gently curved, carved for comfort without interrupting the geometric rhythm. Each backrest is structured with two horizontal supports and a subtly tilted top rail that balances form and ergonomics. The gouged texture—one of Rivadossi’s hallmarks—adds depth, catching light and shadow across the surface. From every angle, the structure feels intentional, with proportions carefully considered to balance solidity and air.
The set carries Rivadossi’s unmistakable hand and is marked on the back with Officina Rivadossi. These are more than functional objects; they’re material meditations shaped by a lifetime of thought and care.

Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Excellent responsiveness, and with wonderful curatorial chops!
