A set of six very charming Danish dining room chairs from the 1960s that strongly remind us of the designs of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard.
The frame is made entirely of teak and is particularly striking because of the top rail, or the backrest. It consists of two parts and is technically very skillfully put together. The rear, as it were, dissolves into the rear legs and the 'kink' seems as if the wood is bent over it. There is a recess in the middle of the backrest that gives this chair its special character. It gives a feeling of frivolity and lightness, but above all ensures that this typical Danish masterpiece of woodworking excels in elegance.
The legs are all turned and the front and middle rails are straight but differ in shape and thickness. For clarity, these are all the wooden parts that are horizontal. Its delicate appearance hides that this chair is indeed robustly built. A generous seat with brown leather upholstery rests on the frame, which has recently been renewed. The chairs possess a beautiful patina that has developed over the years.
The condition is entirely consistent with age and use. Scratches and small stains are part of this but do not detract from the overall beautiful appearance of these chairs.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
Quality, flexibility, very good communication, very happy with the coffee table I bought.
