These dining chairs share great similarities with the designs of Afra and Tobia Scarpa and Mobil Girgi. This is a playful design that follows the rule of a dining chair. Meaning that its aesthetics have to mainly be judged when seen from the back, positioned at the table.
Following this notion, we will start at the back with the foot. This is a cylinder with a slight bulging at the ends. Two wavy lacquered walnut wooden planks protrude from the wooden cylinder, which forms not only the base but also the backrest. The flame drawing in the wood also goes along in a vertical direction. At the top of the backrest, a wooden semicircle has been applied as a kind of ornament and also serves as reinforcement. Its wooden frame is rounded at the front legs and we see faceted edges at the back legs. At the bottom and side, we see a classic and beautiful dovetail connection, connecting the backrest to the rest of the wooden construction.
The black leather seats have been completely reupholstered and the seating comfort has therefore been significantly improved. Conditionally, this set of chairs is fully in accordance with age and use; with scratches and usage traces.
I recently bought some amazing Artwork from AtKris Studio online. The whole experience was amazing. The transaction was amazingly efficient. The crating and shipping of the artwork to the United States from the Netherlands could not have gone smoother and the customer service was spot on!! Krista was amazing and I highly recommend AtKris Studio!
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Excellent responsiveness, and with wonderful curatorial chops!
