In addition to the impressive and very complex furniture from the oeuvre of the Italian furniture maker Giuseppe Rivadossi, he also has a range of more traditional works to his name. Including these two classical rustic style stools.
Design
The frame is made of Slavonian oak and has acquired a beautiful patina over the years. Flame drawings in the wood allow a blonde medullary ray to escape here and there. There are two beams on both the long side and the short side that are connected to the legs by means of a mortise and tenon connection. It ensures for a very robust set of stools. The seats are slightly curved and completely woven with raffia and the yellow-gold color of the rope, creates an ensemble together with the characteristic wood.
Condition
They are in good condition with normal signs of use such as small scratches and imperfections.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
