Minimalistic wall resting chair in oak by Dutch artist F. Weerkamp. When the back leg is omitted from a chair design we know for sure that we are dealing with a minimalist item. This chair is such a naked essence in terms of form.
Design
It actually consists of three parts and requires a wall or other strong background in order to be used. We can come up with all kinds of philosophical theories, but basically we see pleasant proportions go hand in hand with an elegant line. Its shape is in fact an extended trapezoid made of oak. Viewed from the sides, the wood is three centimeters thick across the board. The fairly coarse tooth connections and dowel connections are visible at the front edge of the seat, with growth rings serving as a beautiful detail. On the wooden surfaces we see a flame-shaped pattern in both directions and to the right of the center is a walnut border that provides a charming break from the oak. An inconspicuous rubber strip has been placed at the top of the back of the backrest. This allows the chair to lean against a wall without damage, even if it has a coarse structure. If you choose a free-standing positioning of the chair,go ahead. It is possible to place a transparent cylinder under the seat, which creates the illusion that the chair is supported by an invisible force.
Condition
The condition of the chair is good. At the back and bottom you can see a groove-shaped recess in which the cylinder is fixed.
I recently bought some amazing Artwork from AtKris Studio online. The whole experience was amazing. The transaction was amazingly efficient. The crating and shipping of the artwork to the United States from the Netherlands could not have gone smoother and the customer service was spot on!! Krista was amazing and I highly recommend AtKris Studio!
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
