French tapestry artist Jacques Borker is best known for his bold abstract interpretations and his style is most associated with the Bauhaus movement and Art Deco. Borker also made forays into other disciplines such as ceramics and industrial design and this two-seater is an example of that.

Design

The robust frame consists of a black-lacquered metal construction with ten teak planks on top that are secured with Allen screws. At the back there are two backrests that are at an angle to better support the back. Two large off-white cushions are clamped between the wood and the metal and, together with the back cushions, offer pleasant seating comfort.

Condition

The condition of this two-seater is very good with only minimal traces of aging.

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
