This spectacular bar hails from the Italy of the 1950s and was produced in Cantu by Cappelleti Camagni e Porro. The object has great appeal and would easily steal the show in any film, but especially in any interior.
Design
It lends its slander figure due to the four very elegant legs that, as it were, merge upwards. The cabinet has a ribbed finish all around that is called grissinatura. A commonly used and typical technique used in high-end furniture from that period. An extra dynamic has been added using paint by alternating dark parts with subtle cream-colored stripes. The interior of the bar is completely veneered with lacquered birch and is equipped with a small drawer, a glass platform at approximately three-quarter height. On the inside of the lockable door, two charmingly decorated brass racks are mounted, each with a glass inlay. The space between the cabinet section and the glass top has a wooden pyramid shape that is veneered with mahogany. We see a similar woodworking at the beginning of the beautiful boomerang shape of the upper part. A gold-colored surface with a glass recessed into it is what andorns the top.
Condition
This bar is in good vintage condition with normal wear and tear due to its age.
