The furniture from the Amsterdam School period is in a sense a reflection or extension of the architectural style that is so characteristic. A high level of decoration is achieved by the many ornaments and layering and will never become boring or annoying for the spectator.

Design

This side table is a prime example of this. Striking legs are very expressive and change in silhouette from curves to pointed corners and back again. Black-colored decorations have been applied to the top of the legs in three layers and the plateau clamped between the legs has a thorny edge. The round top is decorated all around the edge with small wooden balls that show a beautiful shine. Veneer work that is a feast for the eyes and the typical star shape alternating with deep brown ebony parts make this item highly decorative.

Condition

This item has been restored while retaining the patina and small characteristic imperfections.

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end

I recently bought some amazing Artwork from AtKris Studio online. The whole experience was amazing. The transaction was amazingly efficient. The crating and shipping of the artwork to the United States from the Netherlands could not have gone smoother and the customer service was spot on!!  Krista was amazing and I highly recommend AtKris Studio!
