This Murano glass bowl, crafted in the 1960s, exemplifies the sophisticated artistry of mid-20th century Venetian glassmaking.
Design
Amber to brown in color, the bowl is richly infused with golden snippets, creating a shimmering effect that captures and reflects light beautifully. Its organic, freeform shape is reminiscent of designs by Carlo Scarpa for Venini, a renowned Italian architect and glass designer known for his innovative approach to traditional Murano techniques. Scarpa's style is evident in the bowl's elegant contours and the meticulous attention to detail. The embedded gold flecks, add a touch of opulence and sophistication. This piece not only serves as a functional bowl but also as a decorative object.
Condition
The bowl remains in perfect condition.
Excellent responsiveness, and with wonderful curatorial chops!
Table arrived very well crated, seller made process seamless.
This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
